Several weeks ago we submitted posts on two California-based cable providers (SureWest and KAXT-1.8) showing a video on the Cigar Box Fiddle Authentic 1860s Style from Don Rickert Design Lutherie. In the video,Troy Parker is doing the playing, accompanied by Michael Fox on diatonic banjo, which is kind of a cross between a banjo and dulcimer (marketed as a Dulcijo). Troy is a very well-respected authority on and performer of mid-19th Century fiddling.
Troy is part of a Civil War and Mistrel re-enactment musical group called the Huckleberry Brothers. Michael Fox is quite well-respected as well. He is the inventor of the Dulcijo and makes other instruments as well, including 5-string clawhammer banjos. Both Troy and Michael have done a lot of video demonstrations of musical instruments from Don Rickert Design Lutherie, which sells its musical instruments under several brands via the Adventurous Muse Store.

Anyone who recieves either SureWest and KAXT-1.8: If you have the ability to record from TV in a form that you can send to us, we would still be most appreciative. We are really curious about the context in which the video appears.
