Our “Welcome to Summer 2018 Sale” has been running for about a week. Unlike those other puny 4-day Memorial Day sales, this one runs until June 4th, So, bring on that summertime!
Side note: When we say “bring on that summertime”, we REALLY mean it. We are currently in the midst of torrential rains and the ONLY road in or out of our community in the Southern Appalachians (aka North Georgia Mountains) is under at least 8 feet of flood water. Yes, it really does flood in the mountains—those pesky creeks and flood plains between ridges. Our creek feeds a “flood control” (for the farms BELOW the dam—not us!) dammed lake built in the 1950s, which is seriously silted and apparently has a valve that has been stuck (rusted) in the half-open/half-closed position for decades. Flooding happens at least once a year. We knew it was coming so we loaded up on beer and other essentials like food.
Needless to say, there are not many (i.e. any) visitors to our workshop. This brings me back to the “Welcome to Summer 2018 Sale.” So, we have a win-win situation. We sell you stuff and you get great prices.
- You want a best-in-class 5-string violin, internationally acclaimed octave violin or a really kick-ass tenor viola (an octave fiddle on steroids), we’ve got ‘em.
- Or maybe you have been jonesing for one of our ultimate step-up travel violins. Well?! . . . Summer adventures are just around the corner, so, what are you waiting for?
- And, for those who have finally accepted the futility of 5-string octave violas and have been trying to fit a real baritone instrument, a Violoncello da Spalla, into your budget, pay us a visit. If you wait too much longer to make up your mind, you will be competing with our late summer and Fall festival vending season—you will be waiting until Winter instead of July or August. The payment options are never going to be any better than they are now.
- We also have an excellent selection of one-offs and specials on sale. For example, a really cool violin-sized 4x5 Viola d’Amore, our Philosopher King or Lion of Ireland special edition fiddles.
